When Crocs came out in 2001, we weren’t keen on them, although we didn’t hate them either. They came in awkward colors and were not exciting fashion pieces.
But somehow, they persevered, and we are so happy to have them still around. Crocs have moved up from just house shoes to fill blown fashion statements.
When you have models like Gigi Hadid or celebrities like Justin Bieber wearing Crocs in public, you know it’s time to step up the game. Today we will look at outfits you can wear with Crocs and socks.
It’s not the worst combo ever, so this should be interesting. Grab your popcorn; we’ll be here waiting for you.
1. Oversized shirt and shorts
Oversized shirts and shorts can’t go out of style, because we want to feel stylish and comfortable in our clothes. You cannot go grocery shopping in a tank top and skinny jeans; that’s too much, but you can go shopping on a playdate with the kids or even on a lunch date in an oversized shirt and shorts. On what footwear to choose, you have your lovely Crocs always available to serve you maximum comforts. You can add socks to keep your feet warm while you go about your day. Depending on where or how you spend the day, you could choose ankle socks or wicking crew socks to help prevent your feet from sweating.
2. Tracksuits and pants
The fabric used to make tracksuits can typically absorb sweat and leave your skin feeling superb throughout the day. So while our bodies are cool and not sweating, we shouldn’t forget our feet too, and that’s where Crocs come into play. Tracksuits and pants aren’t only for running tracks or working out; it’s also suitable for attending sporting events or any event that would get you up on your feet. In addition to Crocs, you can wear wicking crew socks for the perfect fashion statement. They are made of polyester, merino wool, and nylon to give your feet the same feeling as your body.
3. Oversized gowns
We are voting for everything oversized. If it’s oversized, then we are on that side. An oversized gown is stylish in so many ways and can be the perfect base to try out other fashionable accessories, including Crocs with socks.
The type of socks you choose to wear with your oversized gown depends on whether you want people to see your socks or not. For longer socks, you can choose; tube socks, which can reach up to your knees, or the weenies no-show socks, which are made of 80% cotton, 17% polyester, and 3% spandex.
4. Nursing uniforms
Nurses were the ones that made Crocs so famous. They discovered how comfortable Crocs were, and that was the beginning of the revolution. At some point, Crocs were termed “hospital shoes” because almost all workers in the hospital wore crocs. But can we blame them? Crocs are so comfortable, so weightless; you don’t even feel them on your feet. There is a downside, though; crocs have about 13 holes; so it won’t prevent your feet from getting cold. So on a cold day and while you’re at work, you can add socks to your Crocs to keep your feet warm and cozy. We suggest cushioned socks, seeing that you would be on your feet for long hours. Cushioned socks are 68% cotton, 29% nylon, and 3% spandex for extra comfort and warmth.
5. Shirts and denim pants
A typical outfit to wear to almost every occasion except work or formal events. No gender bias, no size discrimination. Rocking them with Crocs can easily get heads turning. However, some people’s feet tend to get cold, even with the slightest decrease in the weather, making them feel uncomfortable in public. So to avoid such incidents, we suggest wearing your Crocs with socks. Depending on how comfortable you want in cold weather, you can choose fuzzy socks and tuck the ends of your denim pants inside them, or ankle socks or a toe-topper.
6. Denim jumpsuit
A jumpsuit has always been a comfortable outfit. It’s like wearing your top and pants in one go, such clever and easy wear, and then denim, a total package. Now that jumpsuits could be full or knee length, they could come with full sleeves or suspenders, depending on how you love to look. Wearing a jumpsuit with Crocs gives a stylish look that you won’t usually get from wearing just a top and pants. But since we are in the matter of breaking out of the status quo, Crocs and socks will go well with your jumpsuit. If it’s a knee-length jumpsuit, tube socks and Crocs will look great unless you don’t want people to notice them, then weenies or ankle socks will do.
7. Sweater and pants
It is essential to keep our feet warm on those early winter days when we can afford to wear just sweaters and pants without an overcoat and a muffler. Some of the first parts of our bodies to catch cold are our ears, nose, hands, and feet. So while your body is protected against the cold, your feet should get some love too. And because we want to look stylish yet comfortable, we are going with Crocs and socks. We suggest you go for wool socks or knitted socks which are thicker and provide warmth.
8. Polo shirt and shorts
Polo and shorts with Crocs are comforts of comfort. The polo on shorts is easy, and so is the footwear. But on some days, you might want to add a little spice to your outfit by wearing socks before your Crocs. If Justin Bieber can do it, so can you. But getting the right kind of socks can be an issue. Here are three suggestions you can try. First is the waterproof socks, which are part polyester and part nylon. Second, the wicking crew socks to keep your feet from sweating, and the ankle socks, which are made from various materials.
9. Sweatshirts and sweatpants
This outfit is more suited for all informal meetings on a cold day. It is comfortable and provides warmth without losing style. Just the combination we need for winter. So when going out for those informal meetings, you’ll need suitable footwear for your outfit; Crocs! The day is cold, and we don’t want your feet to get cold, or worse, have frost bites, so we suggest you wear socks too. But what type of socks would be appropriate for this outfit? Knitted socks. Knitted socks are usually done with three needles to make them knit so they can provide maximum warmth.
10. Shirt and 3-quarter pants
Getting pants 2 or 3 inches above your ankle can be tasking. Either get full-length pants or one that stops somewhere that makes you look ridiculous. But gladly, there’s an alternative – folded pants. You can take your full-length pants and fold them, so they are 2 or 3 inches above your ankle to give the perfect ¾ look. The pants will go well with an oversized tee-shirt to make your overall look dapper. What else says swag than Crocs? While on the matter of Crocs and socks, we have three socks suggestions to complete your chic look: tube socks, weenies socks, and ankle socks. Any of these three will make you stand out even if you are at Starbucks.
Conclusions
With all 10 outfits, we are sure you can’t wait for winter, so you can try out some of these looks because wearing socks in summer is quite ridiculous. But since we want to make our own fashion statements, you could give them a try and provide us with feedback so we, too, can imitate you. An important thing to note is that wearing socks with Crocs won’t stop the socks from getting wet if you go fishing or to the beach. On such occasions, you should wear waterproof socks and not cotton socks. Enjoy your style✌️
