Dylan McCaffrey started his college football career at the University of Michigan, where he played as a backup quarterback. As a highly touted recruit out of high school, expectations were high for McCaffrey. Unfortunately, the 2020 season was disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a postponement of the fall football season to spring for many FCS teams, including Northern Colorado. McCaffrey played in the spring season but ultimately decided to step away from football before the fall 2021 season.
