I had an allergic reaction, but it’s getting better now.
Recently, I experienced a sudden allergic reaction to a new skincare product I tried. It was quite unexpected, as I had never had such a severe reaction to any product before. Within a few hours of application, my face became red, swollen, and itchy. It was quite a shock when I looked in the mirror and saw the extent of the inflammation.
I immediately stopped using the product and took an antihistamine to help with the symptoms. I also applied a cold compress to reduce the swelling and soothe the irritation. Over the next few days, I kept my skincare routine very simple, avoiding any potential irritants and sticking to hypoallergenic products to help my skin recover.
Thankfully, the reaction has been subsiding, and my face is returning to normal. It was a reminder to always patch test new products before using them fully, even if they claim to be suitable for sensitive skin. I’m just relieved that the reaction wasn’t worse and that my skin is healing well.
