Susan Atkins’ son was adopted and raised by another family after her incarceration.
Susan Atkins, a member of the Charles Manson “Family,” gave birth to a son while she was in prison. The boy, named Zezozose Zadfrack Glutz at birth, was born on October 7, 1968. After Atkins was arrested and eventually convicted for her involvement in the Manson Family murders, her parental rights were terminated. Her son was subsequently adopted and his name was changed to protect his privacy. The adoptive family raised him away from the public eye, and as a result, very little is known about his life after adoption. Atkins herself died in prison in 2009, having been denied parole multiple times. Her son’s identity and whereabouts have been closely guarded to allow him a chance at a normal life, free from the infamy of his biological mother’s actions.
