Yes Theory is still active, creating content and taking on challenges that push them out of their comfort zones. They continue to grow their brand and community around the philosophy of seeking discomfort to find personal growth.
Founded in 2015 by Ammar Kandil, Thomas Brag, and Matt Dajer, Yes Theory is a group and YouTube channel that has built a substantial following by embracing the concept of seeking discomfort. The trio initially met in Montreal, Canada, and bonded over their desire to live life beyond the conventional path. They started creating videos that challenged themselves and others to step outside their comfort zones, which resonated with a wide audience.
Their content ranges from asking strangers to go on spontaneous trips to overcoming personal fears and societal expectations. The Yes Theory team has also engaged in charitable activities and social experiments designed to break down barriers and promote human connection.
Over the years, Yes Theory has collaborated with notable figures, including Will Smith, with whom they bungee jumped out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. Their journey has not been without challenges, including the global pandemic, which forced them to adapt their content and approach.
Despite these challenges, Yes Theory has continued to thrive. They’ve expanded their team and launched additional projects, such as the Yes App, which aims to connect like-minded individuals who share the same ethos of seeking discomfort. Their community, known as the “Yes Fam,” remains a supportive and active network of people from all around the world who are inspired by Yes Theory’s message and adventures.
As of my knowledge cutoff in 2023, Yes Theory is still going strong, and they remain committed to their mission of inspiring people to live a more fulfilling and adventurous life by saying “yes” to the unknown.
