Julius Novachrono, the Wizard King in “Black Clover,” was killed in battle by Patolli, the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, who was masquerading as Licht. However, he managed to resurrect himself using a magic tool that stored time, although he returned in the form of a child with significantly less magical power.
In the series, Julius Novachrono is known as the strongest and most revered mage in the Clover Kingdom, holding the title of the 28th Wizard King. His unique magic attribute is Time Magic, which allows him to manipulate time, an ability that is both powerful and rare. During the intense battle against Patolli, who believed himself to be Licht, the leader of the Elf Tribe, Julius exhausts all his power to protect the kingdom and its inhabitants. Despite his efforts, Patolli manages to land a critical blow, leading to Julius’s apparent death.
However, it is later revealed that Julius had a failsafe in the form of a magical artifact embedded in his forehead. This artifact had the ability to store time, and he had been saving up time over many years specifically for a moment when he might face death. When he was killed, the stored time was released, allowing him to resurrect. The resurrection, however, came with a cost. Julius returned to life as a 13-year-old boy, with only a fraction of his former magical power and the capacity to store time once again greatly diminished.
This turn of events shocked the characters in the series and had significant implications for the Clover Kingdom, as it temporarily left the kingdom without its strongest mage and leader at a time when threats were mounting from various factions and enemies. Despite his reduced state, Julius remains a key figure in the series, providing guidance and support to the main characters, including Asta and Yuno, as they face the challenges ahead.
