JinnKid, whose real name is Ali Abulaban, was arrested and charged with the murder of his wife and her friend in October 2021.
Ali Abulaban, known as JinnKid on social media platforms, gained popularity for his impressions and skits, particularly his impersonation of Tony Montana from the movie “Scarface.” However, his life took a tragic turn when he was accused of a double homicide. According to reports, Abulaban was charged with the murder of his estranged wife, Ana Abulaban, and her friend Rayburn Barron. The incident occurred in a high-rise apartment in San Diego’s East Village.
The authorities alleged that Abulaban installed a listening device on his daughter’s tablet to eavesdrop on his wife, which led him to discover her with Barron. Driven by jealousy, he went to the apartment on October 21, 2021, and shot both victims. After the shooting, he picked up his daughter from school, which is when the police apprehended him. Abulaban pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his case is expected to proceed through the legal system, where he will face trial. The incident shocked his followers and the online community, as his online persona starkly contrasted with the violent nature of the crime he was accused of.
