T-Bug dies during the heist mission at Konpeki Plaza. She is killed by the hotel’s security system while jacked into the network, trying to assist V and Jackie.
In the world of Cyberpunk 2077, T-Bug is a skilled netrunner who provides remote technical support to V and Jackie during the early stages of the game. Her expertise is invaluable during the initial missions, particularly the heist at Konpeki Plaza, where the player is tasked with stealing a valuable piece of technology.
During this mission, T-Bug is responsible for hacking into the building’s security systems and guiding the player through the heavily guarded facility. However, as the heist progresses, the security system’s countermeasures become increasingly aggressive. Eventually, T-Bug encounters a sophisticated defense mechanism within the network known as an Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics (ICE) system.
The ICE proves to be too much for T-Bug to handle. While she is deeply jacked into the network, the ICE triggers a lethal feedback loop. This overload is fatal for T-Bug, and she is killed instantly, her consciousness eradicated from the net. Her death is sudden and serves as a stark reminder of the dangers netrunners face when delving into the virtual world of Cyberpunk 2077. It also sets a grim tone for the risks that V and other characters take when engaging with the dark underbelly of Night City’s cybernetic society.
