TO1, formerly known as TOO, underwent a rebranding in 2021. The group faced several changes, including member line-up alterations and management shifts.
TO1, which stands for “TOgether as 1,” is a South Korean boy band formed through the Mnet reality competition show “World Klass.” The group originally debuted as TOO (Ten Oriented Orchestra) in April 2020 under n.CH Entertainment and Stone Music Entertainment. Their debut came after the show concluded in December 2019, where the final ten members were selected from a pool of 20 trainees.
In March 2021, it was announced that the group would be rebranded as TO1, with CJ ENM taking over their management. This change came after a legal dispute between CJ ENM and n.CH Entertainment regarding the group’s management rights. The rebranding also coincided with the departure of member Woonggi, who left due to personal reasons.
Despite these challenges, TO1 continued their activities under the new name, releasing new music and participating in various promotions. The group aimed to showcase their growth and unity through their rebranding, focusing on their collective strength and the message of coming together as one. The changes were part of the group’s journey in the competitive K-pop industry, where they strived to establish a unique identity and connect with fans worldwide.
