Little Texas is a country music band that experienced significant success in the early to mid-1990s. After a hiatus, they reunited and continue to perform.
Formed in 1988 in Nashville, Tennessee, Little Texas was part of the wave of country music bands that contributed to the genre’s mainstream popularity in the 1990s. The band originally consisted of Tim Rushlow (lead vocals), Brady Seals (keyboard, vocals), Del Gray (drums), Porter Howell (lead guitar, vocals), Dwayne O’Brien (rhythm guitar, vocals), and Duane Propes (bass guitar, vocals).
They released their first album, “First Time for Everything,” in 1992, which produced their first hit, “Some Guys Have All the Love.” The band’s popularity peaked with their second album, “Big Time,” in 1993, which went multi-platinum and included hits like “God Blessed Texas” and “What Might Have Been.”
After releasing several more albums and charting numerous hits, the band members decided to take a break in 1997 to pursue individual projects. During this time, some members worked on solo careers, while others focused on songwriting and production.
In 2004, Little Texas reunited with a modified lineup, as Seals and Rushlow did not return. The band began touring again and released a new album, “Missing Years,” in 2007. Since then, they have continued to tour and produce new music, maintaining a presence in the country music scene and connecting with both old and new fans. Despite the changes in the music industry and the evolution of country music, Little Texas remains a beloved name for many fans of the genre.
